Just a reminder to those that were working on this in private, keep working ! Make the right choices and it will happen.

OK, so for a guy slightly older than you guys what would you recommend to help workouts but that won't raise or interject testosterone into the body. One of the strictest warnings they give you after you've had cancer is that you aren't allowed to have anything that increases your testosterone since cancers feed on that stuff.
Suggestions?
Yeah when you can't have testosterone or anything that raises its levels in the bloodstream it really makes working out a LOT harder. The after effects of COVID don't help either, especially in my case, the ongoing problems in breathing deeply. I hope those will go away but it's been over 5 months now and they're still with me. Strength of will is literally what gets and keeps me going through most days, especially when I start to wear down on a given day.
So, have you guys moved to San Antonio yet? I was thinking you said July but I don't recall for sure.
Heading there Friday
Shoot me a DM with what your normal routine look/looked like sturgg
My preference for results and accountability is to put the whole workout on a clock.
Rest is measured, and you don’t spend time in your phone etc. it also keeps your total time in the gym in check.

Bike riding is great for that. Rowing, walking, etch
Lungs can be worked out and conditioned just like muscles- go just a hair further than the prior day. Pretty soon 6 months go by and your ability has increased 10x
That’s how I started out getting in shape. I jogged but not very far. Did it every day- adding another block or set of mailboxes each time. Pretty soon I went from 1 mile to 5 easy.
Just don’t get defeated. Progress isn’t linear.

Couldn't agree more. I lost 100 pounds over my first two years of college with this incremental improvement mindset. At first, I was jogging down the street, then I was jogging around the neighborhood, then I was jogging across town, then I was running marathons. The hardest part is starting.
Also agreed that different things work better for different people. My dad loves his rower. My wife loves her Peloton. Whatever gets you excited.
Love my rower and also my bike erg .
Air bikes aren’t for longer style workouts imo but can be minute for minute the best cardio on the planet

Absolutely deadly. Went to a gym one time where their cardio workout for the day was doing 12 calorie sprints on the assault bike. The goal was to do 10 sprints with a minute between each, and your highest time was your score to compete against other members. My first couple took 13-15 seconds, and I think my last one was something like 28 seconds. I was completely gassed and I probably only worked out for 3 minutes total.
It's really shocking how completely wrong the medical community was for so long about the causes of obesity and diabetes.
Low carb and fasting works for me but I still have my sweet tooth. I can do without bread and flour products, even beer, but ice cream and chocolate is where I draw the line.

I kinda miss the days when I could eat a stack of pancakes every morning.
