For sure. He's been out of this world this season. Vlad is likely going to get the best player on a playoff team crowd as he carries the Jays to a WC spot. We aren't that far removed from another triple crown winner taking the MVP to a superior player. I'm curious how the vote is going to turn out.
Ohtani not winning the award would be a crime against humanity. Triple crowns are rare. You know what’s even more rare? What Ohtani is doing. Add to that, he’s the best player in the sport this year.

What I want to know is why we are off today and not Thursday before we go out West.
If I had to guess in terms of results and peripherals, it's probably Scherzer, Burnes, Wheeler, Gausman. I personally think it should go to Burnes but the mid-season trade story may be enough for Max. Neither of them would be a bad choice, of course.
I'd certainly hope this doesn't happen. I love Vlad but he's been quite a bit less valuable than Ohtani.
