Will be less than 1 fWAR after last night.

I have Ohtani at 7.7 WAR (BR) and Vlad at 6.1 (BR). Has it not updated?

Well I was referring to fWAR not bWAR but its 7.5 to 6.4 in Ohtani's favor there. Two weeks to go. If Vlad is within 1 WAR of Ohtani while winning the triple crown and leading the Jays to the playoffs I'd have a hard time not voting for him.

For some voters, yes. I think it should factor when one player isn't head and shoulders better than anyone else.

Well I don't. He's really cooled off with the bat the last 6 weeks or so.

I hate the Dodgers. It's just stupid the unfair advantage they have.

The Yankees who're second in team payroll, are 64 Million Dollars below the Dodgers, that's basically the same gap as between the Yankees and the 15th ranked White Sox.

The last time this happened was Yankees when Steinbrenner was spending all his money to try and win the world series, post A-Rod trade. I have no love for the Yankees, but what the DOdgers are doing is on par with Steinbrenner's last hurrah. They're outspending the league to the point it isn't fair.

The only silver lining is they hit next year with both Kershaw and Scherzer as FA. So if they want to keep both of them, they'll be paying through the ****ing nose and I don't even think they have enough monopoly money for that.
Stockholm, more densely populated than NYC - sturg

Corey Seager is a FA also.

So how amusing is that the SF Giants, with a payroll $100,000,000 less than the Doyers, are longstriding toward the pennant, leaving Los Doyers with a play-in game to advance?

Good for the Giants. They have a really good team but are 27-15 in 1 run games. Dodgers imo are the better team and should moonwalk back to the WS

What's really funny is the Padres likely missing the playoffs.

    Oh that's beautiful.

I especially like that Preller was constrained in his splashy moves this year because of the cost of all his other splashy moves that mostly failed.

I know. But I'll take Scherzer and the Dodgers lineup against anyone the Cards/Reds/Padres can put up.
