Maybe the players could be bought off with a couple more roster spots, but I don't think this would change pitcher usage. Pitch limits and "third-time through" mentality is now well ensconced and with the game turning increasingly toward power pitching, I don't see managers letting pitchers go deeper into games.
Which will continue to make the game more boring for the "average fan", and eventually drive attendance and overall interest down.

Not a big deal for the posters here that are so invested and that watch every night (regardless of how things are going), but the corresponding lack of action/scoring makes it tougher for the "average fan" to justify plunking down the cash it takes to go to the ballpark on a regular basis when there's not much to see.

There's a reason the other leagues have relaxed their rules when it comes to what helps teams score - pretty tough to fill the stands when you're running the ball off-tackle 60% of the time regardless of whether you're winning or not.

Serious question - have pitch limits kept Fried and Soroka in the rotation?

You’re most likely right. All this will do is spread the DH PAs around to 2-3 hitters since they will just PH anyways, therefor lowering the average salary of bat-only players.

Part of the supposed thought process is to encourage teams to value pitchers going deeper into ballgames, but I have no idea why the league would care about that. They just want to lower the DH salary.

Or get more of their money's worth from Pitchers.

If the double hook rule is implemented Kyle Wright will never start another MLB game.

If he's gonna get knocked out in the first inning then the DH never gets to hit.

Yankees are at the bottom of the AL for the first time since the CBS years in 1968.

Says Yankee fans April 1 vs Yankee fans April 18.

Then shows a picture of Jomboy in a Yankees jersey and then a Mets jersey.

So happy to see the Nats terrible contracts finally coming back to bite them in the ass. Corbin and Stras combine for over 60 million per year over the next 4 seasons and over 80 million against the luxury tax.

Will be interesting to see if they decide to rebuild this off season, once Scherzer's contract is up. What's particularly hurt them is that Robles hasn't panned out at all. Remember at one point he was neck and neck with Acuna as a prospect? Turner is a couple of years from free agency as well. Their farm system is ranked among the worst. And they really don't have any young, game changing talent on the horizon. Especially since Kieboom has also looked like a complete bust.

Looks like they are going to waste Soto's remaining cheap years which is good news for us.

Whenever we express disappointment with Riley, I imagine how much more disappointed they must be in Kieboom.

It's going to be a tough sell to Soto to extent during the midst of a rebuild—so, as much as it might hurt, they'd be smart to start now. If they were to get a jump, they just might be entering their next competitive window by the time he's approaching FA.

And yes: that means a mid-season trade of Scherzer and Turner to the Braves for a package that most outside observers deem "light".
