Cue up Enscheff to tell us this is why you don't build a plan around starting pitching :-)

    Just kidding I actually agree

Any MRI or imaging showing just inflammation or waiting until it goes down to reevaluate?

Not really worried. It’s probably just a product of him ramping up after so long not pitching. I believe this is fairly common.

It just sucks that we’re now not looking at getting him back until late May, most likely.

I don't know, guys. Since he came up, I've been worried about repetitive stress because of the peg leg when he lands. It gives him a lot more torque than he would have with a softer landing.

Big if, but if he bounces back without issue, the silver lining is that this will naturally control his innings for the year. He wasn't going to be pitching every 5 days for a full 162 after last year no matter what.

Certainly hope it's nothing. But unfortunately, pitchers don't get the benefit of the doubt when they're shut down with shoulder problems. Especially a pitcher who's already missed an entire season due to shoulder ailments.
