In a recent interview with a Pensacola TV station, Rubio worried that legalization would encourage teenagers to use cannabis, which would be a "gateway" to other drugs, and warned that black-market marijuana is "laced with fentanyl." All three arguments are logically and empirically dubious. If this is the best that Rubio can do, he'd be better off changing the subject.

1) state level legalization hasn’t led to an increase in teenage use
2) the “gateway” theory is still around in 2022? Good grief
3) this fentanyl laced pot scare du jour (if we even grant it’s real) is entirely a product of pot prohibition and would be solved with legalization
Good work, Marco.

I have been using legally with a medical card now for 2.5 years and smoked plenty in my young college years... somehow I'm still not addicted to heroin
I truly have no idea how this remains such a controversial topic. Marijuana is safer than alcohol and legalizing it makes the process so much safer, in addition to the societal benefits of not arresting people for using it and the tax revenue generated by the legal sale of it. Does the damn Cartel have lobbyists or something?
The short answer is one of the most protected class of people, law enforcement, make too much money off of prohibition. I would give anything for a REAL investigation into these shady influences on the law.

"There are not enough Pennsylvanians to work in Pennsylvania, so giving them pot so that they stay home is not, I don't think, an ideal move….We need to get Pennsylvanians back at work, gotta give them their mojo, and I don't want marijuana to be a hindrance to that."

So let me see if I got this straight. PA has too many jobs and not enough people to fill them? So by legalizing people will quit their jobs and stay home to smoke pot? So smoking pot magically pays your bills since you somehow no longer need money to live? And this weed will be free since they quit their job and have no income? Maybe they all become Onlyfan models I guess. And this all assumes a person already couldnt buy pot and stay home by buying it off the black market. I smoke 6 pounds a year and havent missed a day of work in 5 years and that includes through the coronavirus. Funny how pot smokers are that one demographic people can lump all into one basic but when I assume all Christians are pedophiles I am the bad guy.

Cajun, he’s a doctor…if he says smoking pot makes you lose your “mojo,” you should believe him. Didn’t know that was a medical phenomenon, but then again I didn’t go to med school.

If God didn't want me to smoke pot he wouldn't have caused my son to leave his stash behind when he came home for spring break.

Delaware Gov. John Carney (D) on Tuesday vetoed legislation that would have legalized possession of small amounts of marijuana, setting up a potential showdown with legislators who might try to force the measure into law over his objections.
Carney vetoed a measure to legalize possession of up to 1 ounce of marijuana for those who are over 21 years old.
“I do not believe that promoting or expanding the use of recreational marijuana is in the best interests of the state of Delaware, especially our young people. Questions about the long-term health and economic impacts of recreational marijuana use, as well as serious law enforcement concerns, remain unresolved,” he wrote.

We do know. Marijuana is 2% of the problem alcohol is.
