I was pretty excited to see what he could do after his playoff performance. Obviously this is above even unreasonable expectations.

I think we'll see a different Fried over his few starts. His issues were mental or mechanical but his pitches - velocity and all - were fine.

Contreras needs to catch everyday most of the year. I'd bring him up for good down the stretch though.

I saw the same. You could also see Austin frown a tad after and then looked obviously relieved after he saw the ump call him safe.

I didn't even think Ynoa was going to crack the rotation to start the year. Everything seemed to be pointing to Wilson having the 5th spot to start the year, and then all of the sudden it was Ynoa.
