Figured this was coming. We're fortunate he was still available. Guessing he got some offers this off-season, but probably nothing more than minor league contract type of offers.

He was working in the Braves front office. Pretty sure he wasn’t going anywhere else.

Yes I know that. Likely because no one offered a major league deal till now. I know he may with a couple teams at least.

Flowers wilted and retired today.

Developed bad disk issues the last two years and couldn’t bear coming back.

Sucks because I actually thought there was a chance having him around might help the Pitchers more than most would think. Since he was already on the payroll maybe they can make him a Bullpen Coach so he can help with gameplanning.
