I beat Cy’s mom with her horse crop last night. And there are charges pending....
On my credit card.

Wait, so this knife thing is confirmed now? If so, kinda paints a picture to him holding her against the wall.
Sorry y’all, if someone is coming at me with a knife, they are getting equal rights, that’s for sure.
But as always… let’s wait for the truth to come out with the courts
After adding the knife hypothetical… Now I feel some of you are the same “durrrrr why didn da powice just shoota dem in da leg?” type of peeps when stuff goes down.
I remember when I was in a pool, kids would run their hands up and down my leg. My hairs would turn blonde in the sun. So I learned a lot about kids jumping on my lap and I learned a lot about roaches.
A few people have weighed in on this since it happened so I thought I'd link an article I read on it....

In theory, he could serve some real jail time, THEN still have to serve out his MLB suspension. Looks like a 2 year minimum stint on the Restricted list would be due?

Would anyone be surprised if Ozuna surrendered his work permit and accepted deportation to avoid prison? Either way he will probably never play MLB again. Sam Dyson bruised his wifes arms and got a 1 year suspension so I expect Ozuna is facing stiffer punishment under the MLB/MLBPA domestic violence agreement.

So as long as Ozuna is suspended we don’t have to pay him?
With Ozuna being on a work visa, technically he could be deported if convicted. So he'd serve whatever jail/prison sentence and then be deported upon release.
Get off my lawn!
Technically, he won't be "suspended", at least not for awhile I don't think. When he's eligible to return from the IL, he will in all likelihood be placed on the restricted list while the MLB finishes their investigation. He won't be paid during this time. Whenever the MLB finishes their investigation, he will undoubtedly be suspended. Hopefully for at least a year, but that's probably too optimistic. It will probably be somewhere between 60-100 games. Though I can imagine the MLB getting some extra pressure to make an example out of him suspending him for an entire season. This situation seems far too unique from other domestic violence scenarios they have encountered.
Of course, this all assumes he isn't convicted during this time. If he's convicted or pleas to a lesser charge, he could be suspended longer with a shot at even having the contract voided. But a smart lawyer would simply delay the proceedings as far out as he can so that Ozuna still gets paid.

The curious part for me will be how the whole DL situation is doing to work. What if he's ready to come off the DL before MLB finishes their investigation and before legal action begins.
Knowing MLB, they will force the Braves into a crappy situation like that and put the decision on them.
