That’s fine, but he was asking for the official report and that was it.

I don’t see the Braves getting completely screwed here and lose Ozuna and the money both.

I could see it. Ozuna isn’t coming back, and if he avoids a felony conviction then I’m pretty sure we still have to honor the contract.

If there’s one thing the Braves’ organization values above winning, it’s a squeaky clean image. They won’t be having any of Ozuna after this report and charges, even if that means eating 30 million dollars.

So we are gonna have a 20 million dollar sink hole the next 4 years?

I wish we could go back to the old days. No action without full due process and big suspensions only for felony convictions.

They just asked Snitker about Ozuna and he said he’s done for the year.

Wow. I’m sure they did a thorough, independent, and impartial investigation over the course of several hours to make sure they had all the facts straight and doled out fair and proportional punishment. I’m sorry but him saying that is a disgrace. We’ve gone from a nation that valued due process to being terrified of activists on social media.

Today Bobby probably would have been fired for a relatively minor incident.

Well, Snitker just retracted his statement. He said he got it wrong, and just assumed Ozuna was done for the year after he saw him riding around in the back of a cop car.

If there were no injuries that may be a highly dramatic account of what happened. When one person sees thrown against a wall another might see shoved away. Ann account that dramatic should have injuries to match unless the assailant was an 8 year old pitching a temper tantrum. The circumstances leading up to matter a lot to me. Unless he caused grievous, intentional injury.

I come from a family of lawyers and I’ve heard this story a lot. A woman can be acting unhinged and get shoved then everyone is acting like the man tried to kill her. I don’t know what happened but I don’t like how quickly we’ve let activists be judge and jury in these types of thing.

Of course maybe it did go down the way it was described but I would expect to be hearing more about injuries if that’s the case.

One report mentioned that she was arrested last year for domestic battery. Guessing Marcell outweighs her by 100 pounds or so, and if the cops actually witnessed him striking her with the cast, I'd guess that would outweigh "circumstances."
I also wonder if the Braves might have some kind of clause in the contracts after the Olivera debacle.

Also, the comment above reminding us that Ozuna was the top hitter in the league last year was cruel, vicious and I laughed out loud despite myself. I am deeply ashamed.

I am curious as to what MLB will do considering the All Star game fiasco relative to Braves and just how much action they will take against Ozuna. The whole thing playing out may well distract the team just too much

What does his level of play have to do with anything? He could be Babe Ruth in his prime and it wouldn’t matter. You hit a woman and you are scum. It’s not really up for debate.
