Ozuna appeared in court today and agreed to a negotiated resolution that could result in the charges being completely dropped.
He has to be under supervision for 6 months, undergo a 24 week family violence intervention program, and do 200 hours of community service. If he completes all of that early, he could have his supervision dropped to 3 months and the charges would also be dropped.

GET HIM IN THE LINEUP!
Natural Immunity Croc
Remember how he was out of shape last summer during lockdown and had to be convinced to get ready for "spring training"? I can only imagine how he is now...
so can we mix it up again, or should we toss a salad for a while to get him back in shape?
Coppy
If ozuna is back, do we move Acuna back to cf?
I'd love to have soler back
Regardless of the outcome, I still don't see how he doesn't face some sort of suspension from MLB. The fact that he's agreeing to a family violence program is not going to be overlooked by MLB and almost seems to be admission of a violent domestic act.

no thank you.
No way that contract won’t be paid out by us. Let him go Thur all of this and have him ready for ST next year.
Unless there is new information that has come to light, I'd be surprised if the organization changes their tune. Everything coming from the beat reporters has suggested that he likely won't play for the Braves again, and like others have said I still expect a fairly long suspension from MLB.
Maybe its different when you're famous, but I know that if I were wrongly accused I'd be talking about it every day- I wouldn't sit silent for a few months and then agree to a 24 week intervention program and 200 hours of community service.
Can you imagine if Ozuna’s contract is the reason we can’t re-sign Freeman. Ouch.
Seems before ozuna and his attorney would take this deal, they'd have gone over it with the players' association/mlb. I bet they have a good idea of the punishment coming from mlb
He will still be suspended and I'm still betting he doesn't play for Atlanta ever again

I'd bet that he will likely be suspended for close to if not half of the season next year.

I mean he definitely isn't injured anymore right? Time served won't count toward any suspension I wouldn't think.

Ozuna gonna be back hitting bombs in the playoffs. And as we are going to the World Series AA will be overheard saying "Thank God we have Ozuna!"
Marcell Ozuna has entered into a diversion program that could result in his domestic violence charges being dropped.
Ozuna agreed to the negotiated resolution on Thursday while appearing virtually in Fulton County Court. He'll be placed on six months of supervision, undergo a 24-week family violence intervention program, and must also complete at least 200 hours of community service. The outfielder was arrested back in May after Sandy Springs police officers reported seeing him physically assault his wife. Major League Baseball is still conducting its own investigation into the matter and could soon hand down an official suspension.
