Really nice debut for Tarnok. He is someone who probably will be promoted after logging a few innings in Rome.

Franklin is starting to hit a little more. All four of this HRs since June 1. Another guy who is getting his first taste of pro ball at a fairly advanced level.

What's the deal with Odalvi Javier? He's 24, but seems to pitch well at every stop. Having a great year at AA.

The Braves have a few guys who might be hidden gems.

Estes is turning into my new lower minors pitching prospect crush... pretty sure he was one of our overslot raw potential guys

If Muller's improved control is real I'd love to have him in the bullpen later in the year.

He was one of the youngest players in his draft class too. Threw 77-81 his first year converting to pitcher and ramped that up to touch 94 when the Braves drafted him. Stuff looks a lot more polished and moves. The tweeted videos of him also seem to show a good compact three quarter delivery. Looking forward to my first look at him in a couple of weeks.

Up to .283/.382/.425 but don't tell anyone.

K rate still higher than you'd like and the BABIP still quite high, but that 123 wRC+ and .366 wOBA look pretty good.

His numbers are better across the board compared to his first exposure to AAA in almost exactly the same sample size, so it's all but impossible to say he's not making adjustments and improving.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Even being the low man around these parts on Waters, knowing this team needs 2 OFers, it is probably best to see Waters for ~100 PAs before the trade deadline. The bar in the OF is so low right now that there's a non-zero chance he's an upgrade, especially in CF vs RHP over Ender.

If the decision for trades has to happen around middle-late July, and Waters needs about 1 month to post the 100 PAs required for any kind of assessment, he should be promoted within the next 1-2 weeks or so.

    Longenhagen on Estes:

I panned the Braves 2019 draft class, which I thought included several reaches for college players (Beau Philip, mostly) without enough over-slot payoff later in the draft. Well, since that time, several of those late-round high schoolers have emerged (many are on the Braves list already, even without a real 2020) and the latest of them is Estes, a teenage righty who has a 39-to-6 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 26 innings so far this year. Estes sits about 94 and touches 96, which is up from the 91-94 range I have on record from his brief 2019. He also generates huge vertical movement on his fastball, which has flat angle at the letters. Estes’ delivery has a reliever look to it but he’s not walking anyone right now, and while neither of them has nasty raw movement, his slider and changeup feel are pretty decent for a teenager, and he’s especially good at maintaining his fastball arm speed on the changeup. We have some changes coming to the Top 100 on Monday that are currently gumming up my ability to make just one change to the Braves list by adding Estes, but he belongs in the 35+ FV tier right now and could be an impact reliever if even one of his secondary pitches develops.

Maybe we should bring up pache too. Play em both, and give them a shot for a 3 weeks or so.
