Marte has a decent salary and the Braves biggest trade was Tommy Milone. I assume under a normal season and the Braves in the same situation that Marte would have been a strong consideration.

Totally agree. Budget constraints were the big issue. I just thought he would have been a two-fer who filled a hole last year when Markakis went down that would have rolled over to this year when we wouldn't have had to rush Pache.

It's not just the game after but the 4 games following us reaching .500. AKA when the team gets to .500 they have consistently **** the bed for 4 straight games.

Never seen anything like it.

So many highly unlikely coincidences piling up this season makes me confident they will snap out of it at some point. Freeman's BABIP is another extreme example. Hopefully they aren't 10+ games out when it happens.
