Minor league baseball is really funny. The team I expected the least from--Mississippi--has the best record of all the minor league teams at 24-17 and is one game out of first place behind Pensacola in their division.

From something I see on Twitter or somewhere, he has a third pitch that is pretty good but hasn't needed to throw it. Maybe Mississippi is where he'll get to.

But that's the puzzler to me (and hence my caution when promoting guys). It's always been my belief that a player "learns" at the lower levels and "applies" as they move up. If he has a useable third pitch, I don't know why he hasn't been using it in Augusta or Rome.
