The “suburban housewife” will be voting for me. They want safety & are thrilled that I ended the long running program where low income housing would invade their neighborhood. Biden would reinstall it, in a bigger form, with Corey Booker in charge! @foxandfriends @MariaBartiromo

    Your obsession is well noted.

I asked why politicians don't oppose charter schools, which would really help those underprivileged people you spoke about.

But, you had to go back to the only thing you know. Move on, old man

I eagerly await the study which proves the improvement in student outcomes due to the near 70% spending increase from 19-20.

It’s a disgrace. I’m sure inclusion and diversity administrators are going to make out great, though.

I’m all for school voice particularly between public schools . If private schools are included for vouchers though they need to meet strict standards. There are some very good private schools but a lot of them thrive more because the local public school stinks. There is huge variation in public schools by system and district.

Here is, was, and always will be my concern. Special Education. Personally I'm against universal vouchers. I'm for additional funding for other school alternatives. I'm OK with Charter Schools, I don't think people who go to private school should that that funded by tax payers as that's a choice those parents made. Especially because Private Schools already get breaks from the tax payers.

I want to support school choice but I absolutely will never support public funding for religious schools. We should be teaching critical thinking not blind faith in an invisible magic man in the sky.

But if we’re concerned with inequality, isn’t giving poor parents a voucher they can use to send their kid to the private school an improvement over the system we have now where the rich can perpetuate their advantages?

I don’t look at this as a siphoning of funds from one school to another…I look at is as we’d now be funding flesh and blood students instead of brick and mortar buildings.

I’d be offended if my tax dollars were used to fund religious education.

But I’m also offended that it’s already used to push far left ideological nonsense.

And I’m even more offended that the price has more than doubled and kids leave school not knowing how to read and write.

Every system will have its downsides, but the one we have now sucks. I just want a system that costs the same or less, but leads to better outcomes for more people.

I never understood " push the far left agenda".
Is telling people their choices or discussing evolution / biology / climate science pushing an agenda ?

I would expect outsourcing education to have the same trickle down results as the efficiency of outsourcing any other aspect of life.

Funny how so many parrot the Koch line.

The idea is to impose a cost on schools and school systems that fail our children. That's how competition works.

Yup. It's succeeded in creating a lot of administrative busybody jobs, that's about it.

I guess we could just take the Oregon route and throw in the towel:

    https://olis.leg.state.or.us/liz/202...Overview/SB744

Directs Department of Education to review state requirements for high school diploma and to make recommendations related to requirements. Requires department to provide report to interim committees of Legislative Assembly related to education and to State Board of Education. Suspends requirement of showing proficiency in Essential Learning Skills as condition of earning diploma during 2021-2022, or] 2022-2023 or 2023-2024 school year. Prohibits State Board of Education from requiring for high school diploma that student show proficiency in any academic content area if student successfully completed credit requirements. Applies to high school diplomas awarded on or after July 1, 2023.

My satisfaction would be an explanation of what that means.
Which you appear to be unable to do
