Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
He's considerably better than Ender with the bat, but that isn't saying much considering how putrid Ender has been. Eaton is still plenty bad offensively himself. Defensively, yeah you're giving up quite a bit. But if Acuna/Herredia is in CF, then it wouldn't matter. Eaton is still a pretty terrific defensive corner OFer.

Eaton wasnt too bad thru 2019. Injuries dont help his cause but I pretty much can discount the short season last year.
At this point, Eaton is basically a lesser version of Almonte.
Will Smith only has 1 more year left and has a .280 woba and a .26 xwoba.
He's not been bad at all actually pretty good. he's definitely a trade piece with closer stuff from left side.
It's actually hard to see the Braves completely but the pen to try and rebuild it next year though.
For *hits and giggles for those looking at the charts...
Still just don't see it coming, but I wonder what a Bryant/Kimbrel deal would have to look like?

They are both rentals for a few months so the prospect cost shouldn’t be crazy. I’d be more after Kimbrel
Unless someone big just falls into AAs lap I dont see any big moves this season. With all the money coming off the books this winter, even with the unknowns of Freeman and Ozuna, AA should be able to pick up just about any free agent or agents he desires.
The Cubs are going to be sellers, per Rosenthal and others.
Go get Kris Bryant and Craig Kimbrel.
Pache probably has lost his shine, though.
Would love to get Javy Baez, too.
Duvie and Joc platoon could be pretty productive. Of course, that's assuming Snit would actually use them correctly.

Was thinking about something along those lines as well - shouldn't cost much at all.
If AA & Company are still believers in Contreras/Pache/Waters/Touki (once they settle on a role for him), something like that plus one of the second-tier RPs that everyone's not getting in bidding wars for (Ryan Tepera coming over with Pederson maybe?) would represent pretty nice "on the edges" upgrades while allowing you to hold onto most everyone. If Wright and filler would net you Pederson and Tepera and a Trey Harris/Backstrom type would get you Duvall those seem like pretty decent shots to take.

Who are the cOF options and rh relievers that we might target?
All the Frenchy's Blues they can drink.
FWIW AA did say they had room to add payroll - he didn't hint at how much room. I don't imagine it's THAT much. Then again, if Jed was going to be getting the kinds of pieces he'd have to get to include them both in the same deal he probably wouldn't be concerned about taking Ender's back.
Can't imagine there's any way he's crazy enough to package them in the same deal, but it would be interesting to see what the return would have to look like to get him to think about it,
