I'm not expecting much of anything to happen. Like last off-season, I think Anthopoulos waited a bit too long and couldn't land someone like Escobar. But who knows what others were asking and whether our offer matched up with the perceived value of the player in question and the needs of the potential trading partner. I think at base level it shows how thin we are at the minor league level right now.
    But where we play Escobar?

Dodgers are moving closer to agreement on the Scherzer/Turner blockbuster. Keibert Ruiz, Josiah Gray and others are believed on the table.

It's called actually trying not just to win but to win championships.

Yes, if we had the Dodgers’ resources, I’d love to trade for the rest of the league.

Dodgers would be even more insufferable with two Turners.

I highly doubt Dodger fans give a **** how old he is if he helps them repeat. They are set up to be good for years.

At this point I’m just hoping that Kimbrel/Bryant don’t wind up with the Mets or Phillies.

Idk how much he’s really learned. He’s held on to several guys far too long.

Don't forget Story too. The trade partners are dwindling, and you have to expect those two teams will do something big. Mets focus is pitching though.

Those are the Dodgers’ top two prospects on fangraphs. They could lose those two and still have a better farm than the majority of the league.

Turner also would allow them to let Seager walk without worry. This would be a huge get for them.

There hasn’t been any word on Bryant, which I’m taking as a good sign he is AA’s primary target.

A surprise move of Bryant/Kimbrel would be fun... using more prospect capital for the Cubs to pay a chunk of the salary

I’m torn on trading for Bryant. Yes, he’d help this offense, but it’s a risk trading any prospect for him. It would depend on if Atlanta could somehow sign him long term and I just don’t know if there’s a great chance if that
