Damn the Dodgers are stacked
Dodgers would give up a 55 and a 50 for Turner and Scherzer. Seems light considering Turner is controlled for next year, but maybe it’s reasonable.
Bryant would be a great target bc of his versatility. If FF does walk in the offseason he’d be the 1st one I offered a contract too.
I don’t see any way we could beat any west team with these trades. Just sell and play for next year.
If we got Bryant and Kepler we’d stil get crushed by the dodgers or Padres
Maybe now teams will get desperate and try to get Morton and Smyly!
I'm going to assume the Nats are still taking that on. And hard to know what the actual market value of a win is these days. I'll use 9 million per WAR and a prospect valuation chart from 2018.
So the Dodgers basically traded for 8.5-9.5 wins (1.5 for Max this year and 7-8 for Turner this year and next) and will pay roughly 32 million in salary for that. That's a surplus value of 45-54. Josiah Gray and Keibert Ruiz are worth 62 by themselves.
How accurate is that 2018 chart and 9 million per WAR for the market right now? Who really knows. But it seems somewhat fair.
Schwarber to Boston
We can shop in any isle….also….
I’m thinking the rest of the league thinks our farm system is sh*t….are they wrong?
Basically we have 3 options left for potentially difference maker bats... Kepler, Bryant, Mancini... then whatever reliever or two you want. If you aren’t doing that, why the hell aren’t you selling?

No. https://www.fangraphs.com/prospects/...=-1,1&team=atl
We have two guys 50 and higher now that Anderson is off the list. Pache and Waters have both downgraded a tier after their not so great seasons as well. The fact is the Braves have graduated Swanson, Albies, Acuna, Riley, Fried, Soroka, and Anderson in the last 5 years and all have had varying degrees of success. Wright, another top prospect, has busted. Time will tell about Pache.
But that is a lot of really good prospects the Braves have churned out and the cupboard is finally bare. Winning and the Coppy sanctions are a pretty big part of that.
