The demise of Freeman has been greatly exaggerated

So the last 30 days coming into tonight Freeman had a 179 WRC+ and a 453 BABIP. He currently has a 299 BABIP on the season.

Because our season sucks and we may be seeing the last of Freeman as a Brave. He's currently at 40.1 fWAR. He likely ends the season at 42 fWAR. Will 60 WAR be enough for him to get into the HOF? I suspect that plus an MVP to his name would be good enough. Lots of good 1B in the high 50 and low 60 that aren't in. MVP on the resume seems to give players an extra boost. I suppose Votto will be a good barometer for Freeman's chances.

Why can't I watch the game instead of some interview?

Low 60’s and a key member of a World Series team gets him in at this point.

Looks like Murph brought the whole Mormon Tabernacle Choir with him to the game.

I really don't think a ring moves the needle to be honest. Now a key member of a WS dynasty? That would be different.

It still does, even though it probably shouldn’t. Just enough to put someone over the top. Certainly not the end-all-be-all.

As Lou Holtz (and others) have said, 'even a broken clock is right twice a day."

Perhaps. On that play, I did have a mental image of Acuña leaping into an ACL tear and an inside the park home run.
