This is a pretty big game with muller (most likely) and touki facing the Padres next 2 days.

So I’m guessing smyly will look like a good signing by year end for AA.

I’ve never wavered on that claim.

But we need to unjinx this quick.

There have been plenty of opportunities as well. AA is a solid GM and I feel like the farm system has remained strong despite many graduations. Been such a weird year and things could still break our way.

Bunch of bad luck this inning. The runs count of course but I don't hold it against him in my mind.

Brujan needs to be Smyly's last batter.

I’d leave Smyly in there if he gets this out.

    He’s pitching well.

I feel like Snit will throw Smyly out there in the 6th inning with righties up there because of pitch count, unfortunately. I will be pleasantly surprised and grateful if I'm wrong.

No need to let him face the lineup a third time. Call it a day and bring in the bullpen.

Kevin Cash pulled Rich Hill TTO, and he and Smyly were only 7 pitches apart in pitch count....Can Snit do the same?

With a tight score you're probably right.

What constitutes solid thethe? Not saying that's not correct because that's your opinion. I consider him average with a few strong points. In his defense he inherited a sanctioned farm system and has MAINTAINED it. I think there are a few strong pieces but whether it's gun shy from a previous bad trade or reluctance, there are diminished returns to be expected from some of what was once the Braves better prospects.
