    Top everyday prospects

Pache (22) wilted under the pressure in ATL. We've seen it with pitchers the last few years. AAA stats say he's pretty good at home, but bad on the road. All in his head?

Waters (22) still strikes out to much, but he is having a great July. I went looking for good news in his development; his splits typically say he has trouble with lefties, but he is crushing them this year. Will Pache's experience result in the Braves keeping Waters in AAA longer than they otherwise planned?

Langeliers (23) is struggling in July. He has also been really bad against lefties. Is Mike Zunino his comp?

Shewmake (23) had a decent June and in a small sample size is crushing July. May was sooooo bad. He was bad in 2019 in Mississippi. Has he finally made the adjustment?

Contreras (23) is destroying AAA following the demotion. In 53 Abs he is slugging .868. That's not an OPS. How long do they wait on his defense to come around?

Harris (20) started the season on fire, but has been trending in the wrong direction k rate and BB rate look OK. Is he just having bad luck?

Franklin (22) May was bad. June was absurdly good. July has been low average with power and a lot of K's. Trade high?

    Who am I missing?

I'd probably toss Grissom in there. He's holding his own in Augusta

Justin Dean continues to get on base, steal bases, and play great defense. Don't sleep on him.

Michael Harris is the creme of the crop - and as already been stated many times - could be best prospect in baseball by ‘22

Pretty sparse. Looks like one or two per team. Some higher draft picks (Jenista, Philip, Paolini) haven't done much to this point. Like Island, I would add Grissom.

Wut? I like Harris and think he’s got a bright future, but he’s not going to be the best prospect in baseball

Langeliers for me. A defensive first catcher who is hitting for power and getting on base.
    thank you weso1!

    But...but...but...he's the left-handed Acuna!!!
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

He certainly has the tools to be an elite prospect. But, I do think it's very unlikely he's ever Number 1 overall given that he's already 20 years old and he hasn't put together an elite full season at any level. He's have to have an insane finish to this year combined with an insane 2022 to even be considered.

If he isn't the best prospect in baseball before the age of 22, the chances of it happening are extremely slim. Number 1 overall prospects are either young phenoms like Acuna, or they are elite college guys like Bryant. In the last 20 years or so, rarely do you a see a HS/international signee reach number 1 overall after reaching the age of 22. I think Matt Moore is the last time that happened.

Played some of the worst center field I've ever seen in spring training.
