Every time Smith comes to the plate, I have to resist the temptation to gouge out my eyes with the nearest sharp object.

Fried’s last batter no matter what should be Nimmo. If the Mets send up a RHH in the 9 hole with a runner on base, Snit must be ready to counter with a RHP.

He has to know his days are numbered with TDA looming. Very sad.

    Matzek and Martin.

The problem with using Martin to start this inning is it guarantees Dom gets a swing with the platoon advantage.

I'm astounded that his last numbered day hasn't already passed. He's had ample opportunities but has proven he simply cannot fill a roster spot at the major league level. You're right that TDA's return has to slam the door.

As it stands, either Fried faces Drury, or Snit brings in Martin for Drury and the Mets burn him by bringing in Dom.

Oh, great. Brandon Drury. What, is this guy batting .700 in this series?

    And the Braves get bit.

    Fried still faces Nimmo.

Fried has pitched a really good game. This one is on the offense imo just like game 2.

The choice was Fried vs Drury or Martin vs Dom. Even though it didn’t work out, I still think that particular matchup was the right move.
