yeah, they're far from healthy (as are we, of course) but the Mets just aren't incredible.

Braves have enough pitching to win the division as is. If there is a way to get another average bat/glove in the outfield I think we take it.

Pache's Perfect 10 face plant really messed things up. Losing Acuna was a bigger blow (understatement), but we just can't keep running Heredia out to CF and expect to be successful. Heredia had his marvelous stretch and he's doing the best he can, but he is the definition of "Acceptable 4th OF."

How he hasn't hit in the top 3rd of the lineup all year is a damn mystery.

    If the lineup is

    Bryant
    Freeman
    Albies
    Riley
    Joc
    TDA
    Swanson
    Heredia

I think they have a real chance.

A 310 OBP against RHP will do that

What would a Bryant/Kimbrel package deal cost?

    Pache/Muller?

His streaks are probably something we are going to have to get used to.

Riley was the player I found most interesting to follow this season, and he has been nothing short of amazing.

I don't think folks fully appreciate the improvements he made, and how unlikely that progress was.

Bryant would be a great add, but we'd definitely have to add several pen pieces.

I hate to be a product of the moment but I just think you have to buy. This team is so close.

After watching Druw's entire career things like hot/cold streaks don't bother me.

That makes the Acuņa and Ozuna situations extra frustrating. With them and a real CF, this lineup would be unstoppable again.

Riley is now approaching career high in BB and low in K even when you include his minor league seasons.

That work ethic of coming back better after spending time at a level was definitely something we should have all put more weight on.

I did a breakdown of FG's packages for most available players. They pretty much nailed the prospect value it took to get Gallo, and the rest also seem fairly reasonable.
