GWINNETT had a final-week roster shakeup over the weekend. Hot-hitting catcher Carlos Martinez was promoted all the way from Rome -- keeping Mississippi's playoff roster mostly intact. Martinez replaces Contreras.
But pitchers Brooks Wilson (who was closing in AA) and Daysbel Hernandez were promoted to Gwinnett from Mississippi. Chris Martin was also sent to Gwinnett on hehab.
1B Travis Snider has been released from the Gwinnett roster.
MISSISSIPPI moves: activated from IL are OF Jefrey Ramos and RHP Nolan Kingham. RHP Will Latcham was released.
OTHERS: RHP Dylan Spain promoted to Rome from Augusta.

I don't know anything about him other than that he's a big righty from under the radar at Hawaii Hilo, but Dylan Spain's numbers at the FCL and in Augusta were extremely good. Hopefully he continues to dominate in Rome to cap off his season.

I am happy to see Garrett Saunders still kicking around at Rome. I have played slow pitch against him several times. D3 college grad sign a couple years ago, so no expectations. Just happy to see he has stuck for a least a couple seasons.
