We’re losing to a terrible Rockies team, the Mets lead the Cards and the Phillies are now within one of the Cubs. Cool.
Touki is perfectly acceptable as the 5th starter as long as the manager understands his limitations, and uses him correctly.
It’s 2021, not 1981. Just because a guy throws the first pitch of a game does not mean he should be allowed pitch long enough to “get the win”.
As others have said, these types of bonehead pitching moves will likely be the reason the Braves get bounced in the playoffs.
