It's important to remember that Cy's mom couldn't have led in any of these categories without the help of our friend Cy. He deserves a lot of the credit for all that hard work.

Back in the day I had to help unload helicopters with wounded soldiers on board. The ones with their dicks shot off all cried for their Mommas. Those with more serious wounds only wanted Jesus. Easy to see that few here have suffered any injuries.

I ignore my inbox because thethe won't stop sending me messages. And, worst of all, they aren't even about Cy's mom.

Not really. From June 22nd through Sept 1 he had a 2.68 FIP. 13.5 K/9. Dude was still elite. But he had a hamstring issue on Sept 7 and wasn't really the same since then.

Anyone else really not that impressed with the NYY roster other than Judge, Stanton, and Cole?

You look at their baseball-reference page, and they only had three guys with an OPS+ over 100. Now, there are no genuinely bad hitters in that lineup, and just looking at OPS+ is obviously a poor way of evaluating the quality of a roster, but still. Not what you expect to see from the Yankees.

That gallo guy. I never liked him and wondered why so many wanted him as a Riley replacement.

I don't think that guy has touched a baseball with a wooden bat in 60 days.

Because even with his obvious shortcomings Gallo is still a good player. And the people who talked about him as a replacement for Riley was when Riley was posting an OPS in the low to mid 700's.

Also I think some were looking at Gallo as a possible acquisition at the trade deadline this year to fill one of our many OF openings. He's under team control for one more season so that idea wasn't a bad one. Apparently the Braves were real close to getting him as too. Despite how each have played since being traded I would have preferred Gallo over Soler.

I can’t agree. He played in left handed power hitting dream park. He never hit for average and always K’d a ton. He litter ally is a 3 outcome hitter. Homer/walk/strikeout. He is that anomaly that certain stats love but doesn’t really help his team.

He can help a team which is why contenders targeted him at the deadline.

It will be a fun series against the Brewers. The last time the Braves played a playoff game in Milwaukee was for Game 7 of the 1958 World Series.

I, personally, am not expecting anything from us in the offseason. It was a blessing just to win the division with the year we had. But if we do get knocked out of the playoffs, the Brewers are the team I would be less upset about it in the end. (I am originally from Kenosha,WI)

Ill go back to my premise of this entire season. This off season is totally up to Freddie. If he stays, I think it will be very little more than what he was paid this year. Something like 5 years at $23M per. Should some team offer 5/150 or more I think he is gone. If he leaves AA will have the resources to get anyone he chooses but I dont think he will ever (near future) splurge with $30M plus for anyone as long as Braves are corporate owned. Other than Freeman my concerns are Swanson and what does AA do with him. With DH coming he is less of problem than in the past.

I agree with Cy that this is not a topic for discussion at this time. Therefore please do not comment/respond to this post.
