4 years for Garcia is not a good contract for the Mets, but it is another backup plan off the board for the Braves.

Hopefully there’s a big flurry of moves the next couple days. I expect the Freeman situation to be settled by then.

Morosi: Kevin Gausman is on track for a 5-year deal with a guarantee at or around $100 million, according to multiple people in the industry. @MLBNetwork @MLB

5/110 for Gausman, figured he'd go back to SF. Wonder where that leaves Robby Ray.

Garcia went to the Marlins. I'd be surprised if Freeman is signed before the lockout but we'll see.

The Mets have an offer to Scherzer with an AAV over $40m, no word on length.

It's been said he wants to stay on the West Coast but should know soon enough.

40 or more per for Scherzer would be hard to turn down if you were him.

Dodgers are probably right in that ballpark, i'd think.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all. I think both parties want it resolved before. Seems to be some signs talks could be heating up.

Especially with Bauer up in the air now and Kershaw a FA.

Dang people are wanting to get signed before the lock out. Tomorrow should be pretty busy too.

If Scherzer sign with Dodgers or Mets for $40 millions is great because both teams have a few things missing and I think they will not have enough money.

Mets bullpen suck and they still need to add more pitchers.

I doubt Dodgers have enough money to keep most of his players.
