Obviously take this with a grain of salt, but it's always interesting to read analysis of our minor league system from unbiased sources.

Pache still remains very young and has had better performances in his career. His time up was a pretty small sample.
I've never been very high on his offensive upside and would be ok with trading him for something good, but otherwise he deserves all the patience in the world.
Waddell up to .250 in the AFL following a 2-4 day. William Woods gave up two hits with 7 Ks and 1 BB in 4 IP.
Justin Dean hit his first bomb and drew his 5th walk in his Mexican winter league.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
Does anyone here have any insight into the international period that opens in January?
Is Diego Benitez is someone linked to Atlanta.
How many did Atlanta end up signing last period?
Hitters - Lugbauer, Waddell, Franklin
Pitchers - Diaz, Higginbotham, Vodnik, Woods
Lugbauer has been destroying everything. Vodnik and Woods have been so-so at best, but both had good starts recently. Higginbotham, Diaz, and Franklin have been awful.
(Vodnik made the roster for the Fall Stars for Saturday FWIW - somehow Lugbauer didn't.)

Vodnik- if he stays healthy- is gonna be one bad ass dude.

Verlander fits AA's narrative of brining in a big name but with little commitment on years. Unfortunately I think LA or NY is probably where Kate Upton wants to be, and teams in both cities will be among his top suitors.
I would be shocked if AA can afford Verlander.

I believe that almost all of the pool money went toward signing INF Ambioris Tavarez. The Braves didn't have a team in the Dominican Summer League in 2021 and for some reason did not put Tavarez on the Gulf Coast League roster.
Here's the write-up on him from mlb.com, where he's ranked as the Braves' #26 prospect:
In their final year of sanctions on international spending as a result of signing violations, the Braves were given 50 percent of what would have been their allotted pool for the 2020-21 period, which didn’t begin until January 2021 because of COVID. They used nearly all of it to sign Tavarez and his offensive upside for $1.5 million right when the period opened on Jan. 15.
Tavarez’s carrying tool right now is his right-handed bat. Thanks to his strength and bat speed, the infielder has tremendous raw power, with the chance to have plus pop as he fills out his 6-foot-2 frame. He has the ability to drive the ball to all fields and he’ll have to continue to cut down on the moving parts in his swing to maximize his ability to make hard contact.
The other plus tool in Tavarez’s arsenal is his arm, with more than enough to play shortstop. The jury is still out whether he’ll be able to stay at the premium position long-term, though the Braves felt he was showing improvement during his first days in the organization. If he does move to third or a corner outfield spot, he has the chance to have the power-hitting profile that fits well in either spot.
