That hurts, notwithstanding his stats this series, actually feel like he has looked really good, recall two balls that juuuuust missed getting out, another 400 ft foul ball, thought today he was primed to be in launch mode. Hurts big time.
I'm thankful we have Pederson as a backup.
Lots of questions that I don't really know the answer to and hoping someone else does....
1) How long does a player who tests positive have to be out? Is it like the NFL where it differs for vaccinated vs. unvaccinated?
2) Hopefully this doesn't work like a normal injury where if he's removed from the roster he can't return in the next series? It would be crushing to lose him for the NLCS as well.
3) What is the protocol for other vaccinated players who are close contacts?
Nevermind. Sounds like he's out ten days from positive test. So he misses at least games 1-5 of the NLCS.
The curse of RF
I would hope they test again to make sure it was not a false positive. If he is asymptomatic and vaccinated, it could be a bad test. if that is the case, then he should not be out the required 10 days.
Coppy
Ugh, Soler's a huge loss, he was crushing the ball even if they werent finding holes (NH).
Nevermind again. DOB says five days and then has to be cleared by a 'panel' including someone from MLB, someone from MLBPA, two physicians + negative tests. So if he is and stays asymptomatic and starts testing negative or is deemed not contagious, he could return for the NLCS if we make it.
The blows just keep coming. Can't believe it
Acuna, Soroka, Ozuna, Soler... brutal.
Man Soler is a huge loss. I would of hit Joc lead off instead of Dansby
