The outage for this site going dark the last day and a half, was to show solidarity with the MLB Players Union. It was completely intentional to send a message to the fans and team owners who read this site that there must be a deal to prevent a loss of the 2022 season.

For those criticizing my decision, just remember last year I didn't bow to pressure and create a forum title for the sake of having one. I put the focus on voter suppression as a form of protest, and when the critics were chirping telling me to change when the team was losing and not doing well, I held firm and it lead to a World Series win. Leadership requires stability and a steady hand, not impulse.

Forgive me but I don't understand. What do WE, the fans have control of that necessitates the need to lock down a forum? Not being argumentative but whatever side of the fence you stand on, we're supporters of the entity of baseball.

It takes two to tango and while I stand with the players, their squabbles aren't something that a cranky old gangsta will solve. If I may be so bold...at least don't penalize us of the one venue of crying, cussing and good ol fashion f' yous to be silenced by rich, man babies.

Sounds to me like someone is trying to hide their lack of technical expertise. If you'd just admit that, we'd all be much better off.

Of course you'll continue to show "solidarity" with the players while making sure they remain under your control for six full seasons and also having your pocketbook dictate when they're ready to begin accruing service-time - can't possibly be expected give up your globetrotting while they're eating at soup kitchens every day.
