Perhaps they're waiting for the Rookie leagues to open.

Lee has looked good this year. He's definitely an upgrade.

Is that really the play? I thought Thornburg looked decent in his time here. Definitely could do worse for a back end guy.

Haven’t been impressed by Dylan Lee at all.

Diego Benitez likely in this category as well.

    ???

    9.3 IP, 6 runs, 10Ks against 5 BBs.

I get that Snitker didn't use him, but also not exactly sure that helps much.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

His numbers are skewed by one bad game. That’s going to happen when you pitch once every two weeks.

Point is, Thornburg is a back end guy, and he’s fine in that role. I don’t see how Lee is much of an upgrade if at all.

I don't think either will (or would have) be used much regardless - Snitker ALWAYS seems to have at least one guy he doesn't use for weeks at a time just before inexplicably running them out there in a tight situation and expecting them to perform well.

    See Tomlin, Josh.

I mean, Josh Tomlin was a mop up guy and a terrible one at that. He had no business being on the roster. Not apples to apples.

Not exactly sure Thornburg had shown them much more than that - they were using O'Day and Chavez before even thinking about going to Thornburg as a last resort.

    Which didn’t make sense.

Nice. Maybe the OF can be a Rosario/duvall platoon in LF, Harris, and Acuna soon

I’m curious what it is about his profile that he consistently underperforms his xwoba. Quite significantly.
