If Olson averages 2.5 to 3 WAR over his 8 years, I’ll be happy. He’s been good this year, but he needs to be better. Olson isn’t the problem.
He doesn’t need to be better than Freddie. That wasn’t an option for us. Freddie firing his representation is evidence of that.
Well after today's events, I'd say it's a good bet the two will be teammates to watch it play out. This will turn out like Don Sutton's two years in DC.
He’s not finishing that six year contract as a Dodger

Ender is back in the majors.
If we expect his final years to pull down the avg like that, the extension was probably not a great idea
I mean what will FF's be 6 years of his contract. I'd be shocked if the avg was 2.5ish
ETA... if Olson gives us 4 seasons of 4.5 and then 4 of 2.0, that's an avg of 3.25

Seems unlikely, but I hope he's still on the team when the Mets come to visit in a few weeks. He deserves his own ring ceremony (it's possible they sent his already). Ender was a bit part of the tail end of the rebuild and the playoff teams that followed. By all accounts he was a good teammate and even continued to cheer on the Braves after he got cut.
By this reasoning, we should be proud if Acuna puts up an avg of 2 fWAR a season
Some of you need to get a grip. There is zero chance he plays anywhere other than LA for at least the next two years.
We paid Olson what we expect him to produce. If he outperforms his contract, that’s awesome. I hope he does it. Averaging 3 WAR over eight years is a tremendous accomplishment. Very few players would be able to do that. I think the trade package and contract reflect that fact.
