I’d agree with this. I think we should have won it in 2020 to honestly.

Our hitting in 2020 was incredible but we literally had no starting rotation left

This years team probably wins it all in any one of the pervious 4 years.. this year, I worry more about the super team the Dodgers more than any other team really. The Mets can be scary with their 2 headed beast pitching, but I think this team can beat them. 22 Braves have the best starting pitching by far over any of the past teams. Wright and Strider make this team way better than previous years.

The team we have right now is loaded. Albies is coming back and will have an impact and Soroka has another rehab start tomorrow. If it goes well I could see him get 1 more start then come up to the majors and that is insane bc the dude could be our best starter. If Soroka and Albies both come back healthy this year I think we have the best team in baseball and that included the Dodgers. If Acuna starts hitting for power anytime soon then wow.

I think Soroka will be a pen guy once our rosters expand. He will probably go into the playoff that way as well unless one of our other main 4 falter/injured down the stretch. I think that is a great weapon to have in the pen for the playoffs if his sinker is back.

I don’t think there is anyway you can pitch Soroka in an unpredictable manner while he’s coming back which is why I don’t think the pen is an option. He’s going to need a routine and time to prepare. They’ve invested way too much in his rehab.

It would be unwise to use Soroka randomly out of the pen. If he’s good enough to pitch, it needs to be tightly structured and he needs to be starting. This would be probably worse than anything this board has jumped on Snit about the last few years.

Edit: Clinically stupid is too harsh.

I think the last month you pitch him on schedule piggy back starts with someone. Coke playoff time he will either be ready or off the roster. But I don’t see him replacing one of our main 4. But he is way better than most of our pen.

I think it does make sense, if he’s ready, to combine him and Strider in games.

I think it's possible. I could see him in the old Strider role. I could also see him as a piggy back in the playoffs. Let him know that Strider is starting but you're up the third time through. Something like that.

I don't think he's a 1 inning guy who has no idea when he's going to pitch.

Typically he's not a guy who I see his stuff really playing up in the pen. Depending on his stamina, maybe it does play up.

If we are really creative maybe you'd look at him as an opener who goes through the line up once. Given the last two year's rotations being in tatters, I bet AA wants as many starting options as possible.

Ouch. He ever had TJ before? If he goes down the Phillies probably do to.

    Of course.

I seriously believe those btches could 18-3 in September. Their schedule is unbelievably pathetic.

Bases loaded, 2 outs, rockies' leadoff up, and he K'd on 3-2 pitch. Mets up 3-1 b7
