If Harris, Strider, Contreras and Grissom are long term solutions then that will give us a chance to rebuild without having to sell pieces that we don't want to sell. Meaning that we can compete and rebuild the minors at the same time.

With the MLB team stacked like it is for the long term we should be able to just leave the minors alone and it restock itself. Our hit rate on position prospects is crazy.

Who would you sell? We have alot of money coming off the books in the next 2 years, and if payroll is gonna be top 5ish, no real reason to rebuild/sell pieces. If Grissom ends up being a stud, that opens up a ton of possibilities.

    Malloy with another big game.

Aged 22 season in AA looks impressive. Especially that BB rate.

Don’t love the strikeout rate and the power is wanting.

Strikeout rate is tolerable, especially with the huge walk-rate. And power looked good at A+. I think he's a solid prospect at this point.

Love his size so not worried about power just yet.

K rate has remained manageable but the jump to AA does make it worth watching because the assumption should be it goes up a tick or at best remains the same in the majors if he makes it.

Did some digging and talking chop had this to say (Link):

Malloy is ticketed for starting 2022 in High-A, but with his ACC and SEC experience it wouldn’t surprise anyone if he earned a midseason promotion to Double-A. His future defensive home is a bit of a question, but he will get a long look at third base before any conclusions are drawn defensively due to the fact he didn’t see regular playing time at one spot for much of his college career.

This gives Mallow a nice path to the bigs a super util guy so that lowers the bar offensively to become a useful player. I mean - There are just so many young studs on the roster we need to start developing bench players!

If Malloy can play the 1B/3B/LF/DH role I’m all for it. I like Cal Conley for a future utility role as well.

    Two other debuts later.

Landon Harper (Round 14), 1 IP, Clean with No Ks/BBs
    Blake "General" Burkhalter (Round 2, Compensation Pick), 1/3 IP, 3H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 K, 1 BB

William Silva (Round 15) picked up the win in relief. It was his second appearance of the year.

In the last three games, the Braves essentially ran out the AAA rotation against the Marlins. The results: 3 starts, 18 IP, 5 ER, 19K and 5 BB. An average of 6 IP and a 2.50 ERA. Granted, Ian Anderson was one of those pitchers, but that's some pretty good depth especially with Soroka looking to be near a return.

Even so, that's a pretty good starting pitching performance. That helped the big club get set-up for a VERY big week of baseball.
