Grissom so far is 2-2 with a HR today.

Probably a justifiable reaction given the number of flame-outs we've seen over the years - it's not completely unfair given the level of competition and the small parks in the SALLY League.
That said, I've probably been as high on him as anyone - to the point I'm perfectly fine with losing Dansby if he won't take a significantly below-market deal to stay. As others have pointed out, having Arcia step in to replace Swanson may not be sexy - but he's probably going to be acceptable while Grissom finishes developing if the money saved allows Alex to upgrade the rotation and potentially LF for the next several years while everyone else is controlled. If Grissom plays the second half in Mississippi and is able to keep producing despite playing in a Pitchers' park against much tougher competition it would be crazy to give Dansby $100 million when that money could be spent on guys like Musgrove/Manaea/Eovaldi/Clevinger/Bassitt. One of those guys would give you Morton's replacement from within whenever he does walk away (as well as turn Strider into an All-Star Closer for the next 5 years).
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
Good thing to note is that Grissom is doing all of this with a very sustainable BABIP.
He will probably be moved to AA soon but he has clearly improved his power from last year.

Who is bunnell at Mississippi? He had a great game last night

Number of flameouts?
What system are you watching ?

Braves have hit on more homegrown star level talent than basically any organization in the game. Past 5 years, 10 years, 20 years.
Kudos to AA’s farm.
been developing prospects without all the notoriety and buzz, and had to deal with all the international and domestic draft sanctions from the previous admin.

I'm going to have to agree that the Braves system has done a great job producing MLB players and impact guys at that.
Yes, we've had flame outs, that is the system. Every year they draft like 25 rounds of guys and only 1-2 make an impact.
Grissom seems like a guy who would be a big time balance to the line up. He's as very high OBP and big time hit tool guy. Developing power.
The issue is, it seems like most people do not think he can stick at SS. Some do, but he's not doing great there.
Anyone want to put Ozzie back at SS? :)
Top prospect flameouts since the rebuild who have turned out to be unsuccessful are plentiful - and Grissom hasn't sniffed a Top 100 list yet. It happens - in EVERY system. At no point did I say (or have I ever said) this system has more of them than anyone else, so don't try to put words in my mouth. The Braves' flameouts tend to be more widely talked about because their hype machine is so good and they have had more kids make Top 100 lists over this stretch than most organizations. The "hits" have been great - Acuna, Albies, Riley, Fried, Dansby, Harris and Strider (so far) - but there's no need to dodge the fact that there have been more than a few pretty major (Top 100) flops.
Jose Peraza, Christian Bethancourt, Aaron Blair, Sean Newcomb, Kolby Allard, Touki Toussaint, Kevin Maitan, Luiz Gohara, Bryse Wilson, Pache, and Waters.
The point is that it's more than fair for people to want to see these kids succeed at higher levels against better competition before going nuts over them - there are plenty of those who were going to be "the next big thing" before they'd even reached AA.
