Do we see Strider for the 5th considering the way he was staring at his fingers?

Strider needs to talk to Fried about blister avoidance.

Looked like Olson got four strikes in that at bat.

Result was bad, but expected value is probably neutral given 2nd/3rd with 1 out is significantly better than 1st and 3rd with 1 out (no double play, single scores two runs, etc.)

I don’t know how you do it, but Strider needs to get at least 100 IP per year. He’s giving you Kimbrel results over multiple innings.

I don't really see how that's so hard as he's going to be a starter until he proves he can't be one

I’m not worried about his innings. It’s more so trusting Snit to manage his workload and piggy back him.

Unless these guys just think he’s a 3 times through the order type of guy.

Seems like that would be very doable. Looking at tonight's game, he's just got to find a way to keep his pitch count down. He's had a few instances tonight of batters taking him to ten or so pitches. As soon as he gets that down, watch out.

    1st and 3rd with 1 out is 1.13
    2nd and 3rd with 1 out is 1.37
    3rd with 2 outs is 0.35

So no, not even close. It was not a good choice to steal there.

This isn’t taking into account the probability of a successful stolen base.

Say Ronald is 90% likely to steal 2nd base

    90% x (1.37 - 1.13) = +0.216
    10% x (0.35 - 1.13) = -0.078

    See what I’m saying?

If they think he has enough pitches to go through 3x the order then it’s a big deal. He has elite stuff.

When Soroka comes back were gonna have a deep rotation. Which is not what we assumed on April 1st.

    Fried
    Wright
    Morton
    Anderson
    Strider or Soroka.

Then Matzek and Yates return. Bullpen is going to be absolute filth.

If Harris becomes an OBP machine then he could eventually move Acuna to the #2 hole.
