So sad. Dudes voice was awesome for the stadium. Always enjoyed listening to him during the game.

The crazy part is the guy's predecessor had a similar voice. I rememebe when that guy died they hired this one and sounded almost identical.

Marshall Mann? I always wondered if Marshall and Casey were kin because they did sound so similar.

when they hired Casey I had wondered if they hired him just because he sounded like Marshall to keep continuity.

edit: I was referring to the guy who succeeded Marshall Mann. And did it from 97 to 06 until they passed away and Casey took over. Can’t find his name.

I searched for who the in-between guy was too. So far no luck. Some old print media might hold the answer.

Sam Franco, who has worked as the public address announcer for some University of Georgia athletics events, handled duties for Monday night. Franco will continue to serve as the public address announcer through the 10-game homestand.

Beginning on Tuesday night, the Braves will use some of Motter’s recorded greetings to fans and other announcements at home games the remainder of the season.
