How the hell did I forget strider? He might be our closer though

Can you add a SP like DeGrom and keep Dansby or an impact bat of some kind? Plus some bullpen depth too? If you keep Charlie.

Meh, he has more of an impact in the rotation imo. Just gotta keep his innings right.

Maybe he can develop another pitch or improve one and there's no doubt about him starting

I’d go two years, $60m and still pick up Morton’s option. That’d be some sick rotational depth.

Word is Braves had offered Verlander 1 year $25m this offseason. So adding deGrom wouldn't be that far or a stretch. Especially with ticket sales way up

Yeah you'd have to think we can afford it, especially now that Liberty's seen how much we make from deep postseason runs

Surely the Mets would overpay the hell of degrom before they let the braves get him

Keep in mind, that was with AA assuming we were going to resign FF as well

Mississippi makes a great point -DeGrom situation could be good for us either way - we could him for something we could stomach, or make the Mets outbid us and possibly regret it…

Just hoping the second inning debacle doesn't cost us this game. Things like that have a tendency to come back and bite you in the butt.

I can now remember at least 4 base running blunders with Duvall in his tenure as a Brave.

He has passed a base runner/let a base runner pass him during two home runs

He tagged up from first going into second and was called out to end the inning before the runner scored in Game 3 of the NLDS last season

Losing track of the count today.

Maybe, but if the braves offer something like 25 for 1 year, I could see the Mets going like 3 for the same per year
