It sure would have been nice to pick up a competent hitter who could play second base.

Except that it’s still a very short series, and our reward for winning it would probably be to face the Dodgers in the NLDS.
If we win the division as the two seed, we likely get the winner of the NLC champ and 3rd WC series in the NLDS after a bye.
Winning the division is huge for our repeat chances.

If anyone hasn’t gotten to see Walker pitch this season this dude is on another level this season…He’s got really good stuff. Tomorrow afternoon s going to be extremely difficult…I’d venture to say harder than tonight.
I think we’re gonna win this series. I think Fried and Strider get us W’s and I think Anderson and the pen do enough to hold it together tomorrow for the offense
We haven’t lost 3 in a row all year, so I expect us to find a way to pull it out tomorrow.
Mets look pretty dang tough right now. They might just be better this year. Nothing wrong with a wildcard spot though.
thank you weso1!
I’ve had both ACL’s done. It’s torquing the knee that is the hardest to get over in your mind. You spend 6-8 months not trusting planting your knee and turning a different direction. It’s hard to overcome mentally.

I'm not worried about Acuna long term. The bat speed is there, his plate discipline is there, it's really his launch angle that's the problem. He had a LA of 18.2 last year down to 11.2 this year. Once he trusts his knee and gets that straightened out, he's going to start putting balls in the air again and when that happens he'll be the Acuna we know he can be.
Let's just hope his confidence comes back stronger than Heyward's after getting hit in the face. I still think that screwed up Heyward's mentality for the rest of his career
This explains everything.
