Freeman would have hit a 3 run bomb there instead of a lame solo bomb.

Looked like it was some sort of change/splitter to me.

Doesn’t seem to matter. The theory that pitch speed affects exit velocity has long since been debunked. Watching a single HR derby should verify it for someone.

Distances on tonight's home runs 442 (Acuña), 440 (Grissom), 439 (Aguilar). Not a "wall scraper" in the bunch.

Ian is very clearly overthrowing, but he’s shown the ability to get through these last innings on fumes.

Two runs in six innings for Anderson (and one of the runs was the result of Rosario's clown show defense). While we certainly can't know yet if it's the start of a positive trend, it's definitely a much-needed solid data point.

The two RBIs Olson got on that hit shouldn't count because the contact was too "Mets-like."

Mets beat Phillies 1-0. deGrom with six innings, 76 pitches, 10 Ks, 0 walks...just another day at the office for him.

Nola gives up one run in eight innings and takes the loss.

Ozuna is really horrible at taking 3-2 walks. He rarely actually gets strikes. Every pitcher knows he’ll chase

Scary how the Mets can pitch DeGrom for 6-7 innings and then use Diaz for 1 or 2. That's basically a free win.
