Sure was worried about Slippy going both ends of day night double header, but he got the rare sweep. And speaking of, let’s sweep the fish out tomorrow.
And speaking of tomorrow, here’s hoping the Mets burn their pen all to kingdom come now that DeGrom and Scherzer have pitched…and that the Phillies win in extras.

Mets beat Phillies 1-0. deGrom with six innings, 76 pitches, 10 Ks, 0 walks...just another day at the office for him.

Nola gives up one run in eight innings and takes the loss.

Seems like the best strategy vs the Mets is to throw your 5 vs DeGrom and put your TOR against the rest.

This Acuna injury is precisely why it is inexcusable to have him trying to steal base after base. The ONE thing that needed to happen this season with Acuna was to not re-injure the knee. Literally NOTHING else mattered with this cornerstone of the franchise.

To see him tweak something on a steal attempt against the marlins in August is infuriating. He is the most valuable non real estate piece of the Braves franchise, and he has been jeopardized on a meaningless stolen base attempt. He should be ANCHORED to every base for every game for the rest of 2022.
