What a weapon he could be if he is anywhere close to his previous self.

Would love to see him be a postseason hero in some capacity, even if more akin to what Wright did in the World Series last year.

This could be so big. Guy was flat out great in ‘19. Hopefully he can get back to his former self.

Man it’s easy to forget just how good Soroka was before he got injured. I really hope he can come back… for our sake and his

Perfect world is he comes back looking great in September and the Braves agree to a non tender free agent contract (Soroka will likely make good money in arbitration)

I am sure one of the stadium lights will come loose and fall on his right arm.

Why would Soroka make good money in arbitration? He hasn’t pitched in like 2 years.

He made 2.8m last year and player’s always receive a raise in arbitration IIRC.

I think this is a situation if the Braves want to assume some risk, they could sign Soroka to an extension to guarantee his last two years of arbitration and buyout multiple free-agent seasons (possibly as very team friendly club options).

Soroka made 2.8 million in 2021 and 2022. I think odds are good he gets either the same in 2023 or slightly higher like 3 million. I do agree about the possibility of doing an extension to guarantee the next two years with some team friendly club options after that. But he's not going to get much in 2023.

Soroka is still the best potential value extension of any Braves pitcher. A relatively small guarantee could buy the Braves most of his 30s. Something that guarantees him around $20M in exchange for a couple cheap option years would set him up for life and is a small risk for a team like the Braves.

I would love to buy him cheap. He has been hurt so much that I would think he would jump at a good offer that is fair to both him and the team.

I'd love to see him pitch like himself again this season but I'm happy if he has a 7 ERA as long as he's healthy for next season.

Soroka’s shoulder should be well rested. He’s a pretty smart dude and knows his limits so I expect him to come out and be pretty good. We’ll all be holding our breath every time he comes off the mount to cover first or field a ground ball like we were Acuna. If he can get 3 good rehab starts in I think he comes up and will be a huge weapon come October.

Even though he is Canadian, this is Soroka carrying us through the playoffs this year to glory

So assuming Soroka takes his full 30 days by my count we should expect Soroka to return September 14th
