Just precautionary, or is Acuna injury serious?

Probably just serious enough to be scary.

Hopefully this wakes everyone up that’s been sleeping on the job, and they now start managing Acuna like he’s the team’s most valuable asset recovering from a serious knee injury. The pointless and reckless baserunning has to stop. Nothing he can do on the bases is worth the added risk of reinjury.

His mismanagement this season is inexcusable

Not serious. He’s just sore so they are being careful

They said no trip to the IL was needed and Acuña said last night he could play today but I’m guessing when you combine the tweak with playing both ends of a doubleheader followed by a day game all on Miami’s field they decided it was best to give him the day off.

That said if Acuña comes in later to play defense I’ll be highly annoyed.

Oh so Acuna does in fact have a gun to his head and is being ordered to steal all the time, tag up from second on shallow fly balls, and run through stop signs by men who accidentally stumbled their way into managing and operating a big league club and who totally don’t have as much stake in the team’s success and the star player’s health as fans do. Earth-shattering news here…

Marlins should be offended with the aaa pitchers we lined up against them.

I was an elder supporter as a solid fifth starter last year. This year his stuff has backed up in aaa.

We seem to be punting this game

How long is Wright supposed to be out? I'm not sure what else we're supposed to do otherwise. We'll need Morton, Fried, Strider, and Odorizzi for the Mets if Wright isn't going to be ready to go.

He’s been off the active roster. He was only called up as the 27th man yesterday.

Wright hasn’t gone to the IL so I’d expect him to pitch in the Mets series.

What good is Heredia if he can't start against a LHP over Ozuna and Rosario when Ronald is given a day off?

It’s so ****ing dumb. I’d ream Snitker’s ass in public if I was his GM.

Yeah I don’t understand what Heredia’s purpose is.

But, then there’s leaving him in to sprint home even after he tweaked his knee.

Snitker routinely displays negligence in strategy AND managing his player’s well-being.

He has a trainer that earns a salary that he relies on. If the trainer says he is fine then that’s on the trainer. I mean, that’s their damn job.
