Wrist strength and being skinny are highly correlated.

Who hits the ball harder? Big guys or little guys?

I'm not expecting him to hit the ball as hard as judge if that is the point you are trying to make.

I am rejecting the notion to hit the ball hard you must look like Judge.

Julio Rodriguez, Buxton and Teoscar Hernandez have some of the highest avg EV and they aren't what you would describe as BIG. These guys are in the Grissom range for current and future.

Two of the best prospects of the past decade. Nice counter examples. (And btw - Grissom COULD be a counter example. It’s just nothing in his statistical profile or scouting report suggests that he is CURRENTLY and the reason for that is probably his current body type which is my entire point).

Let’s discuss this in a month. It’s absolutely retarded to debate a sample size of 16 at bats

I agree. Making a conclusion on a guys contact profile early on because he hit one nubber to go along with line drives seemingly every AB is stupid.

He looks stronger in his lower half. He probably doesn’t have plus power, that’s ok, if he did he’d be a top prospect. He looks like a .285/.350/.450 type of hitter with anywhere from 15 to 25 homers. And a guy who is a tough out. With Freeman we lost our best contact guy and situational hitter. Grissom looks like that type of hitter without the type of power Freeman has.

It’s an exciting development since a few months ago this kid was nowhere near top 100 lists.

If Grissom finishes the season strong and I think he will then Dansby isn’t gonna have any leverage on AA this offseason. AA will need to replace Dansbys offense at SS in LF. Cheff said AA has Arcia as a backup plan at SS in case Dansby leaves and Arcia showed he’s a good bench guy but Grissom is the guy AA can now have to fall back on at SS if they all prove to be to expensive.

Nobody. I saw someone say something about Keith Hernandez bitching about Bill Contreras so I did a search and this popped up.

What’s damn funny about those pictures is the pure reek of desperation. They were obviously taken at different times — please notice how dry the track is in front of Braves vs. the soaked dirt in front of the seven train public masturbator team….

They had a pretty big hole at 3B. This should make them better.

I think that was the point of the picture.. the Braves grounds crew put drying agent infront of the home team's dugout but not the Mutts. although the entrance dirt infront of the steps on the Mutts side is actually drier than the Braves entrance dirt. Who cares what it looks like infront of the rails.

A new guy up vs our pitching staff seems to always be trouble for us. Maybe the fact he's a good prospect means we can actually get him out
