Everybody is tired this time of year.

Statues should be made for Snit, his coaching staff and AA for the work they've done the last few years. This has been an awesome season so far. The Mets' great season is the only reason you guys are grumbling. That's what forced Snit to and the team to bear down for 2 months and try and catch them.

I have zero problems with the Mets clinching at Truist. If they do, good for them. Braves players should applaud them and congratulate them on the field.

It all starts over in the playoffs.

And he hasn't sit 1 game or been dropped below 5th in the lineup.

^^^ this is an indictment of snit, not Olson. Olson can't help he's Chris Davis now

Swanson/Riley/Olson have slumped the last two months and so has our offense.
I think the answer is as simple as that.
Pitching has been solid and the rest of the regulars have been about what they have all year with the exception of those 3 and then of course Grissom’s Babip regression.

Now that my tantrum and our division chances are over, I still feel ok about the playoffs. Acuna and Riley gonna have to carry this offense, so hopefully they get going

Arcia better be starting tomorrow. It’s so dumb that he hasn’t gotten a single AB since coming back from the IL. Grissom wouldn’t even be on the team right now if Arcia hadn’t gotten hurt.

    Snit is so dumb.

If I'm the Braves, I print those numbers for him to hang in his locker. Dude should be embarrassed by his performance. I would be if I were him.

I don't like our chances of catching the Mets now, so I think I'd move Olson to the 2-hole tomorrow night. Maybe being between Acuna and Riley will get him going. Getting Olson to not be terrible should be one of our biggest priorities before the playoffs start.

That was a crappy effort. A handful of guys got off the bus. The rest should have stayed at the hotel.

I'm not wildly anti-Snitker, but your example is where he's far different than Cox. The only line-up changes Snitker seems to be making are give d'Arnaud a breather and shuffling the outfield. Arcia should be seeing some time at 2B. He should want to keep everyone sharp.

I think Snit has some bad tunnel vision when it comes to wanting to win the division. That's not to say it doesn't have added importance this year. But continuing to play Olson and a struggling Grissom is not only not helping those chances but also hurting our chances in the postseason as a whole. Arcia should at least be somewhat fresh. Put him at second, Grossman at first, and Heredia in the outfield for a night. Rest Acuña's back again. We're not likely to beat Nola in Philly anyway.

    Harris - CF
    Swanson - SS
    Riley - 3B
    TDA - C
    Contreras - DH
    Grossman - 1B
    Arcia - 2B
    Rosario - LF
    Heredia - RF

    Or...

    Swanson
    Harris
    Riley
    TDA
    Rosario
    Contreras
    Grossman
    Arcia
    Heredia

It’s ironic because we are borderline getting the 2027 season we didn’t want to pay for in 2022.

The trade and not willing to go 6 on Freeman is not what looks bad. It’s the extension.

    Haha

As the head of the We Hate Olson Fanclub (est. 2022), even I think he can't possibly be this bad. For the love of God Olson, stop being Dan uggla

I disagree with this personally. Letting FF go to the Dodgers was a mistake. I am willing to bet he will out produce Olson every year of his contract.

That's because Olson wrapped his season on August 1.

I wonder if he'll hit .330 every year. That might be hard to take, .330 vs. .230

Who's our backup 1B? Riley? He needs a blow, too. Maybe you could play Arcia for a week and give each of Riley and Olson three days off. Especially with the Mets coming in, no reason to try and load up.

I don't really see a good answer today. Maybe he could have sat some guys before this and they'd be fresher.

Doubtful. Quit being a prisoner of the moment and letting the fact that he isn’t a homegrown Brave cloud your judgment.

Even still, signing a big 1B into his late 30’s probably isn’t a good idea, and exactly what we were trying to avoid with Freeman.
