I think we were all hoping Soroka would be getting these September starts. I really feel bad for the kid.

I especially like how Snit constructed the lineup so the opposing manager can neuter the entire middle of the order with a single LHP.

Brilliant!! I hope we see Harris/Olson/Rosario each face the same LHP 2 times in this game!

Rosario would be pulled for grossman. Nats have 1 Lh reliever BTW.

If they go weems for Harris and Olson, better not let him face Contreras bc weems gets murdered by rhh

Really no good spot to hide Olson in the lineup at this point.

Well, there are 3 LHHs and 9 lineup spots. Simple arithmetic makes it obvious how to space them out optimally.

4th grade math isn't something Snit can handle, so we get LHHs in 3 of the 4 spots right smack in the middle of the lineup. It will be fun watching Alvarado shut them down for 1 inning, and some other LHP shut them down for another inning. That's 2 of 9 complete innings with a massive platoon disadvantage in September during a close division race.

Thanks for the extra difficulty Snit! Brilliant!!

Don't know if it's been covered elsewhere, but I was kind of surprised that Alan Rangel was called up to take Strider's place on the roster when he went to the IL. He probably doesn't take the mound unless there's a big-time blowout in either direction and, as it was during my high school basketball career, it's probably going to have to be a really big lead for him to get in the game in that situation. No lead was safe with me on the court.

Chef is t wrong. No reason to have all 3 of your lefties hitting with one RHH in between. It also groups your RHH up more as well.

But when we have 12 hits and 2 runs because of bad sequencing…. Don’t come back to this comment for help.

I guess Riley will never get a day off.
Glad they finally sit Olson one game but this series was the time to get Riley and Swanson an off day or at the least Riley since his numbers haven’t been the greatest for over a month.

On the bright side (or not so bright) re: lefty stacking, it doesn't much matter who Olson faces at this point.

You're not wrong. But if the Braves are in a situation where they are getting shut down by the one Nats LH RP Jordan Weems with his career ERA over 6, there are others issues lol
