Last night's loss probably ended the division hopes. Cant see the Braves sweep DeGrom, Max and Bassit. Scoring 2 runs vs the Nats in those losses is pathetic and probably cost us the division. I know you cant realistically win every game but had to go at least 5-1 vs them in those games. Even if the Braves get by the Padres, would have to face the Dodgers without homefield. Braves needed to go in tied so winning 2/3 would keep them 1 up with 3 to go even if we lost a game and lost the tiebreaker.

Cant really blame Stephens/Snit when we scored 2 ****ing runs. Should have never came down to that.

Ball wasn't carrying. This lineup needs more balance... too dependent on HRs.

Oh well, just take 2/3 from Mets, and then hope nats can win a game vs Mets

We need all 3, we'll probably drop a game to the Marlins.

Maybe. Braves have won 7 straight vs marlins, so they seem to handle them. Mets lost 2 of 3 last series Vs nats. Even with the Mets embarrassingly easy September schedule, they only swept one team, pirates. I won't feel great if we take 2/3 from Mets, but It certainly gives us a realistic shot

Nats have a chance to hurt all 3 east teams to close out season...

They throat punched us last night.
Phillies are only up 0.5 in WC.
Mets will be looking to clinch first of week.

The Mets won’t sweep the Nats and we won’t sweep the Mets. Last night honestly probably did lose us the division. Scoring 2 runs against the Nats is pathetic. Luckily deGrom and Scherzer won’t pitch in the Nats series so that’ll help them.

DeGrom would be scheduled to go on the last game of the season if it came down to it.

This is the reason they moved him up. I'm not sure if it's good strategy by them though. The degrom vs Charlie was a huge advantage for them when they only really need 1 game.

Not if we’re also counting on the Mets to lose.

Hopefully the brewers can catch not only the Phillies (.5 back), but also the padres (3 back).

    Remaining schedules...
Padres: dodgers x1, white Sox x3, giants x3
Phillies: at cubs x1, at nats x3, at Astros x3
    Brewers: marlins x4, dbacks x3

yup.. if we hold the tie breaker then yes, if they do then nope.. just pitch who you got and be ready for WC game1.

however, us holding the tie breaker means we swept the Mutts and had a 2 game lead going into the fish series which meant we lost the first 2 games of that series and I just don't see that playing out like that.

I have a very funny feeling we are going to sweep the Mets and beat them down all three games.
We are better than them and our guys seem to have an undefined big game energy.
    I can sense it.
We are going to need a full truck of Coors Beer.

Whether the Braves win the division or not, what matters is we have meaningful Sept/Oct baseball that entertains us.

I'm so glad AA has built a consistent winner since staring at the 2021 WS flag is already getting boring.

Nothing would surprise me. This team has been counted out before and always responds. They have won 97 games. In most yrs that would be enough to win the division. They are elite…problem is the NL is extremely tough this yr. I think we have as good a shot as any to win it…even if we don’t win the division

I want the division badly if given the choice, but I do think the layoff could end up hurting the bye teams.
