Losing the WS couldn't happen to a better franchise. Now they can swiftly go back into medicority with their aging core and trash lineup

They kind of never left mediocrity. 3rd place team in the division while massively outspending most teams. Wouldn't have even made the playoffs a few years ago. Baseball playoffs are not about who the best team is. It's about who is hot at the right time.

They also wouldn’t have sniffed the postseason under the old no-DH rules. Harper carried them.

For real, they had all the luck in the world this postseason. Between the 9th inning in St. Louis, to BABIPing us to death, to an inside the park homer on a crazy bounce, to Castellanos turning into a GG defender in crucial moments. Literally, all the luck in the world.

Obviously, Wheeler and Nola gives them a really good chance when they start, but still they had all in the luck in the world.

But the real reason the Braves lost that series is because their two best starters were injured. More luck.

At the end of the day, the best and most complete team throughout the season won the whole thing.

Wrong. When you’re down by six runs at the jump every game, it makes it hard to come back.

Every team who wins it all, has some luck. Wont argue Philly is some great team but thats how the playoffs work. Will be an interesting offseason for them though.

Strider going down probably was the end of the Braves this year, i'd agree with that. But we also could not hit at all vs them.
