I like this move if it’s purely for depth and a spot start here and there, but if it’s a part of a platoon plan, then AA is out of his ****ing mind. If this was one of our platoon moves, that signals that we truly are close to our spending limit, and I honestly don’t understand given the amount of money we’re raking in.
Luplow can draw some walks and hit some bombs. Had a comically terrible BABIP last year (.185). If he can capably play all three outfield positions, doesn't seem like a bad risk -- there's a non-zero chance he has some HR/FB luck and stumbles into a 115 OPS+.
Don't know anything about Fletcher, but this is the type of move I would expect. Seems like a good, overlooked player with some potential for improvement, who could be affordable and available.
I suspect that AA has a database of all available players that has some deeper analytics than we see. He seems to be good at identifying guys with a profile that suggests they might perform better than we expect given the information we have.
Jordan is the greatnephew of 1960s journeyman OF Al Luplow, who made a legendary catch that was in the pre-ESPN era so there is no documentation, but here is a newspaper story about it. It was one of those things that we all heard about, but unfortunately were never able to see on a highlight reel.

Luplow should kill the Duvall wishers. Backup Ofer with CF capable. Im thinking AA has to wait out mid season before he can dump Ozuna and/or Rosario.
If he replaces Heredia, it's fine. If he's part of some platoon, we're ****ed.
Forget about Conforto.
If the goal was to sign a 5th OF to compliment Harris, this is as good a get as anyone available.
If this is the main upgrade to the OF then I'm afraid AA may not have understood the tax cap ramifications of signing all those extensions.
I hope AA and front office have forced Snit to know how to use a platoon. I’m afraid if Rosario gets hot for 2 at-bats with 2 singles he’s gonna get the next three starts.
Forever Fredi
I know many over here want Duvall but we don’t know his status right now. Maybe he still behind with recovery. The same with Luke Jackson.
Bowman: The Braves love Luplow's defense. His arm strength is in the 96th percentile. His ability to play both corners would allow him to occasionally give Acuña a break in RF. But the plan is for Luplow to come to camp to fight for the LF job with Rosario. Chance the two could platoon.
Lol again, this ownership is a joke. Hopefully Ronnie, Riley, and Olson all have MVP seasons.
Rosario/Ludlow platoon in LF. Ozuna at DH. That's how we will roll most days. Look for an upgrade at DH or Rosario's spot at the deadline.
