Nonsense. They changed the definition as you know. This is the greatest economy this great country has ever witnessed. I do not understand why so many large companies are turning to mass layoffs

The greatest gift musk can give humanity is destroying twitter

But it's more likely we find out that twitter can run just as fine with 80% less staff... Like most huge companies

    Maybe I'm missing the joke.

I see everyone pretending twitter is in deaths door.

My app is fine and working as well as ever.

Feels like joura lists have created yet another delusion

Has more to do with mass layoffs and resignations. And considering musks general incompetence in public when it comes to running twitter, people are of course over reacting.

THat being said, fully expect to see major twitter outages coming up.

But what if there aren't large outages?

Then usage is going down. Twitter can run leaner than it was. No one is denying it. But musk is losing important developers. He's losing people who matter, not just help desk level people. At some point someone is gonna run an attack on Twitter. Twitter already has gone down I believe twice since he bought it.

Do you think those developers had any unique knowledge?

There are armies of coders that can do the same job.

Yes, I do think they do have a skillset and familiarity.

To run a comparison. You can be a great chef, but there's a healthy learning curve to every new kitchen you step into. You can be an amazing sales rep but you have to get used to different clientele when you switch businesses.

ALso generally speaking it's more expensive to hire people than retain people. GRanted tech is shrinking so there are good people looking for jobs. But they're not gonna be hired for less than their current people.

I mean we'll see how it plays out. Less than 1 month in twitter is looking like an erupting trashfire. At least Musk is keeping things funny be being so incompetant.

What metric is being used to determine its an 'erupting trashfire'?

What if what he is saying is true and that DAU has increased?

I have a suspicion that although there might be a brief interruption that Elon is going to come out smelling like roses.

20% of the workforce does 80% of the work in almost every company. The remaining 80% of the workforce is fungible.
